Aida F. Leisenring



A graduate of Brown University, Ms. Leisenring spent three years as an editor at Elle Magazine, representing the magazine at industry events worldwide and writing monthly features. Ms. Leisenring then graduated with honors from the Benjamin Cardozo School of Law in 2006, where she was recognized for excellence in service to the law school for her clinical work in criminal defense. She began her legal career representing indigent defendants as a staff attorney with the New York City Legal Aid Society in Brooklyn, NY. There she successfully represented thousands of clients charged with crimes in both the Criminal Courts of New York City and the New York State Supreme Court. In the last five years, Ms. Leisenring has co-chaired high profile felony trials resulting in acquittals in both state and federal courts. She has appeared on Dateline, 20/20, and 48 Hours, and has been selected as a New York Metro Rising Star by Super Lawyers in 2014-2016. Ms. Leisenring is fluent in Spanish and is also a published author, and is currently developing a docu-series about innocent people on death row tentatively titled “The 4%.”
