Seymour W. James, Jr., our partner and former Attorney-in-Chief of the Legal Aid Society of New York City and former president of the New York State Bar Association, was recently appointed by New York State Attorney General Leticia James to serve on the Judicial Screening Committee for the Second Judicial Department.
The New York Governor established Judicial Screening Committees to evaluate the qualifications of candidates for appointment or designation to judicial office throughout New York State, and to recommend to the Governor those persons who are highly qualified to hold judicial office.
