Attorney Steven Epstein Lectures at 13th Annual NYSBA Trial Academy

Attorney-Partner Steven Epstein of Barket Epstein Kearon Aldea & LoTurco, LLP in New York is considered far and wide as a legal leader. Through his practice history, credentials, notable publications, and important lectures, he is trusted by clients, legal peers, and up-and-coming attorneys alike. In recognition of his reputation and talents, he has been invited to speak at the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) Trial Academy several times.

Attorney Epstein, who lectures throughout New York and the United States on trial skills and other related topics, was once again asked to be a presenter at the NYSBA Trial Academy, which he has done each year for the past five years. Countless past attendees highly rated Mr. Epstein for his seminars, so he was asked to present at the 13^th Annual NYSBA Trial Academy this year with a focus on the art of storytelling and the creation of a “theory of defense.” Most litigators consider these facets to be the most important skill of doing trial work, even though new litigators might not realize it, because it creates a pathway to communicate with the jury. No matter how strong facts or laws might be, a litigator cannot expect to win if the jury does not listen to them.

It was a huge honor for Attorney Epstein to have such an important topic entrusted to him. He wants to show his appreciation to the NYSBA Trial Academy at Syracuse Law School, to everyone who made the event possible, and to all the attendees.

The NYSBA Trial Academy spans five days and focuses on teaching new attorneys critical trial techniques that can make or break any case. It offers direct, hands-on opportunities to learn the nuances of both criminal and civil trials, as well as how to take control of a courtroom case of any size or significance.
