In January 2022, our partners John LoTurco and Alexander Klein participated in the exoneration of Rodolfo Taylor, who spent almost 27 years in various New York State Prisons for a wrongful murder conviction. In conjunction with the Legal Aid Society, our partners successfully petitioned the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Conviction Integrity Bureau to consent to vacate Rodolfo Taylor’s convictions, and the Honorable Richard Ambro of the Suffolk County Supreme Court granted the application.
Our office will be pursuing civil remedies in pursuit of monetary damages on behalf of our client against Suffolk County and New York State for the unjust civil rights violations and wrongful imprisonment.
