Partner Donna Aldea, head of the Appellate and Post-Conviction litigation group at Barket Epstein, recently filed certiorari petitions before the United States Supreme Court on behalf of the Queens County District Attorney’s Office in two cases in which the NYS Court of Appeals ruled that the office’s program of interviewing suspects prior to arraignment violated their Miranda rights. Ms. Aldea handled the matters as special counsel to Queens District Attorney Richard Brown.
